Ocean View Beach House.

This house is located on Fire Island NY, with views of the Atlantic Ocean. The house like most houses on Fire Island is constructed on a series of wood pilings driven into the sand dune. The house was designed with 2 very different facades. The entry facade has very few windows, giving the interior privacy from the board walk outside, the ocean facing facade is predominantly glass. This gives panoramic views of the ocean from almost all of the interior spaces and great flow from the interior to the deck and swimming pool. The kitchen has a counter width window creating an interesting elevation from the exterior and a creatively framed view from inside. The stair features a vertical slatted wood balustrade extending to the second floor ceiling, creating an interesting journey between floors. The second floor cantilevers over the deck to create more bedroom space upstairs and shaded deck space on the main floor. The house has two principal suites, each balconies with glass walled showers facing the ocean. The hot tub is located on the roof deck with views of both the ocean and the landscape of Fire Island.
