Riverside Drive Kitchen
A kitchen renovation in a classic Art Deco apartment building. The kitchen space was a small New York City pre-war building kitchen with a view out to the Hudson River. The owner wanted a kitchen that reflected the style of the building with a clean contemporary twist. We achieved this with custom cabinetry with diagonally laid out oak veneers, played off against glass tile back splashes and white quartz counters. The kitchen provides for every day food preparation with refrigeration, cook top, convection oven and a dishwasher concealed in the cabinetry. By not using a freestanding range we were able to create more storage space and an uncluttered aesthetic. The kitchen also has display cabinet for a collection of glassware.
