A new construction of a 4 bedroom house with extensive views over a lake and surrounding landscapes. The butterfly roof mimics the surrounding topography. The house is orientated to maximize the lake views, with the pool in direct sun most of the day, then views of sunsets over the Litchfield Hills. The house is comprised of two wings, one contains the living space and primary suite, the other guest rooms. This approach was taken to break up the mass of the house externally and to make the main wing of the house feel like a. complete house when the guest rooms are not in use. The house sits on a full basement containing the garage, media room/gym and storage.
