Greenwich Village Studio Conversion

This project converted a generous alcove studio into a one bedroom pied-à-terre. the space was sufficient to create a legal one bedroom apartment as prescribed by New York City code. The project included a variety of custom cabinetry from the kitchen into the living room to create a spacious modern yet warm living space. We designed a bed with storage beneath it and pull out nightstands to maximize both functionality and space. The cabinetry is in walnut to contrast with the refinishing of the existing parquet floor with a pickle stain.
