Renovation of  a One Bedroom Duplex apartment. The overall look is simple and clean, but set off against finishes (all new) with naturally strong textures - note the reclaimed oak strips for the floor and the slate tiles. The clean lines of the quartzite kitchen counter is complimented and contrasted against the tree trunk bar counter. The kitchen was opened up to the living room and the closet and bathroom enlarged on the upper level with the closet cantilevered over the steps to maximize storage space, without encroaching on useable floor area.
